Welcome to Mrs. Meg's Kindergarten Class!!


Please clearly label your child's name on their snack!

Homework:

A packet will be sent home every Monday to be completed and turned in on Friday.

Practice the weekly sight words each night!!! Sight word race will begin very soon and very important to the kids! Encouraging your child to learn his or her sight words will pay off on Fridays when they get a prize!

Read Every Day (R.E.D.) folders will be sent home starting i October. Please allow your child to read them each night and return on Thursdays. Your child will have a turn to read them to the teachers.

Education: I attended Delta State University where I majored in Child Development and had a minor in Special Education. I also received my National Board Certification in 2013 in Special Education. I graduated from Arkansas State University in 2016 with a Master's degree in special education. 

Experience: This is my 16th year teaching in Desoto County. I have taught both preschool special education and Kindergarten. This will be my 9th year at Hernando Elementary School!

Bio: I live in Coldwater with my husband and two daughters, Emmy (10) and Molly Beth (4). I enjoy any arts and crafts and being outdoors. I am a kid at heart and enjoy being silly. I have 2 dogs, a cat, and a class Guinea pig. I love animals!
