About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

 I received my teaching degree from the University of Mississippi in May of 1999.  I graduated Magna Cum Laude.  I taught 5th grade at Oak Grove Central Elementary School during the 1999-2000 school year.  God answered my prayers, and for the 2000-2001 school year, I transferred here to H.E.S.  I was hired to teach kindergarten but after three weeks, I moved up to first grade because of enrollment numbers.  I have been teaching first grade ever since!  In 2020, I became a National Board Certified Teacher.  After all this time, It is still my passion to teach children to read.

      I have been happily married to Mitch Todd since 1994.  We have three awesome children and reside just outside of Hernando.
