Focus Standards:

  • R.F.K.1d-Recognizing and naming letters.
  • RI.K.1.-Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
  • RL.K.3- Identify the setting of a story.
  • RL.K.6-Name the author and illustrator of a story and define the roles of each.
  • RF.K2-Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds.
  • SL.K.1-Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about Kindergarten topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups.
  • W.K.!-Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces in which they tell a reader thr topic or the name of the book they are writing about and state an opinion or preface about the topic of the book.
  • W.K.!-Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic.
  • R.L.K.10-Actively engage in group reading activities with purpose and understanding.

Math Standards:

  • K.O.A.2 Solve addition and subtraction problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g. using objects ordrawings to represent the problem.
  • K.O.A.1. Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings, sounds(e.g. claps) acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
  • KCC1,2 4a-C-Counting to 50

A few things to remember:

  • Our school board policy states that children must be present for at least 63% of the school day in order to get credit. Please remember this when checking in late or checking out early.
  • Students must be able to read independently at a Level C  in order to promote to First Grade. In addition to Level C, students must also master 70% of our Kindergarten Language Arts standards AND 70% of our Kindergarten Math standards.
